Blues interested in Everton star Seamus Coleman.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is already lining up his transfers moves for next summer, it would seem, as the Mail report that the Blues are already plotting a £20 million move to sign impressive Everton right back Seamus Coleman at the end of the season.
The Republic of Ireland international has been rated as perhaps the finest right back in the Premier League over the last couple of seasons, although Cesar Azpilicueta and Branislav Ivanovic, already of Chelsea, would argue their own cases, and has flourished since moving to Goodison Park from the League of Ireland as a youngster and spending a loan spell in the Championship with Blackpool.
Despite the impressive nature of Mourinho’s current options at full back, however, the Portuguese will be mindful of the fact that Ivanovic is entering into the latter years of his career, whilst young Spaniard Azpilicueta has shown himself to be just as adept on the left hand side of the pitch.
Known as one of the most prolific goalscoring defenders in the Premier League, Coleman would add an additional layer of attacking prowess to a Chelsea side that also contain numerous weapons, whilst the Irishman is also perfectly solid when defending his own goal.
