Borussia Dortmund’s Jurgen Klopp lined up to replace Liverpool’s Brendan Rodgers…
Reports in the Daily Express are already suggesting that Liverpool have Borussia Dortmund’s Jurgen Klopp lined up to replace struggling manager Brendan Rodgers, who has failed to replicate last season’s fine performances from his team.
The Reds succumbed to a 3-1 defeat against Crystal Palace earlier today, with goals from Dwight Gayle, Joe Ledley and Miles Jedinak cancelling out Rickie Lambert’s early strike.
It was a thoroughly depressing afternoon for Liverpool’s players and fans alike, as the Reds fell to within four points of the relegation zone – with their run of just two wins from their last nine league games topped off my three consecutive defeats.
Pundits are questioning Rodgers’ tactics as last season’s title-hopefuls sit 12th in the table, and reports now claim that Bundesliga winner Klopp could take the reigns at Anfield should the Kop board decide to part ways with the Ulsterman.
Klopp, who has also been linked with a move to Arsenal, recently expressed his interest at taking charge of an English club, saying: “I think England is the only country I think where I should work.
“It’s next to Germany because it’s the only country I know the language a little bit and I need the language for my work. If somebody will call me, then we will talk about it.”
