The 34 year old Republic of Ireland international has played under Redknapp at Tottenham and could be available for a short term loan switch in January.
Keane netted the winner in this weekend’s MLS Cup final and may well be tempted by a short-term return to the Premier League and could well be a very useful addition to Redknapp’s Loftus Road squad.
QPR have been overly dependent on top-scorer Charlie Austin and a move for Keane could aid their push to avoid the drop to the Championship.
On the subject of a possible move for Keane Redknapp stated;
“The MLS market is one that we’ve got to look at. Robbie’s a good shout – he’s a good pro,” Redknapp said.
“He would be the ideal type to have around for sure because he would give us something. I haven’t spoken to him yet, but he would be an interesting player.”
During a similar loan spell to Aston Villa back in the 2012/13 season Keane netted three goals in six appearances for Aston Villa.
