Having signed Welbeck from Manchester United for £16m in the summer, Arsenal will be pleased to see the 23-year-old receiving some recognition.
The international star has scored eight goals according to the IFFHS, with five coming while on duty with England, while the other three came during Arsenal’s Champions League clash with Turkish side Galatasaray.
Fellow Emirates new boy Alexis Sanchez is also on the list, although he is some way further down.
Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo unsurprisingly tops it, with an astonishing 19 goals over the past year. Manchester United pair Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney also feature, with the Dutchman in ninth place on a not unimpressive 11 goals.
