Bayern considering a move for Raheem Sterling as an alternative to Marco Reus.
Bayern Munich are lining up a move for Liverpool wonderkid Raheem Sterling if they are unable to win the race to prise German international forward Marco Reus away from Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund, report the Mail, as the likelihood of the England star being lured away from Anfield seems to continue to increase.
Bayern are big fans of Reus, who has been one of the Bundesliga’s stand out performers since moving from Borussia Monchengladbach to Signal Iduna Park, but they are well aware of the fact that Dortmund would rather sell Reus abroad rather than losing another keep player to Dortmund, meaning that manager Pep Guardiola is having to keep his options open.
The report sugests that this has led the Spaniard to look into signing Sterling, the teenager who has been one of few bright sparks for Liverpool this season and has been in fine form since really breaking into the Reds’ team at the start of last season, impressing with his raw pace and ability to drift past people.
Despite requiring an improvement when it comes to his end product, Sterling is one of the most exciting and enterprising young players in world football and has previously been linked with Real Madrid, so it should come as no surprise that another of Europe’s giants is set to move in on the race.
