Old Trafford side to welcome in Bernabeu winger?
Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale is reportedly edging closer to a move to Man United according to the Metro.
The 25 year old has been strongly linked with a move away from the Bernabeu for some weeks, this despite his excellent form for the Spanish giants, and by all accounts Man United are willing to offer as much as £120m for the former Tottenham man.
This source claims that Bale has not ‘accepted’ a transfer back to the Premier League though this is a tad hard to fathom given he is very much a first team regular under boss Carlo Ancelotti.
Bale has been nothing short of a major success since making his £86m move to the Spanish capital, bagging 22 goals in his debut season, including efforts in both the Copa del Rey and Champions League finals.
This season the Welsh international has played a key role in Real Madrid’s astounding 22 match winning streak.
That said, when all his options are fully fit it’s hard to see how Carlo Ancelotti can accommodate Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and James Rodriguez in the same eleven and still maintain real balance.
Man United boss Louis van Gaal could well do with further wide-attacking options with the likes of Juan Mata, Adnan Januzaj and Ashley Young yet to consistently prove themselves under the Dutch manager.
