Anfield exit not likely any time soon.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has moved to quash talk of a Mario Balotelli exit by insisting that the Italian will not be leaving in January according to the Daily Mail.
The 24 year old, who cost Rodgers £16m over the summer, has failed to net in ten Premier League appearances and was left on the bench for Liverpool’s Boxing Day win over Burnley but is apparently not set to leave the Merseyside outfit.
On the subject of increasing speculation of a possible Balotelli return to Inter Milan Rodgers stated;
‘It is not something I have even thought about. We have had a lot of games this season in a lot of competitions.
‘At this moment in time, it is key for me to keep the squad together.’
Liverpool have experienced a mild up-turn in form of late, losing just one of their last nine fixtures in all competitions, though his side’s lack of goals must surely concern Rodgers.
