Chelsea traveled to Southampton in search of three points but found the going tough in the first half with Ronald Koeman’s men taking the lead though Saido Mane on 17 minutes.

Jose Mourinho’s side leveled on the brink of half-time with Eden Hazard cutting in from the left before burying home a fine effort part Fraser Forster.

The second half saw Chelsae turn the screw but failed to find a winner with Morgan Schneiderlin being ordered off late on for a second yellow following a crude lunge on Cesc Fabregas.
