Mohamed Salah could be heading to the San Siro.

The agent of Chelsea star Mohamed Salah is set to meet with Chelsea chiefs to discuss the future of the Egyptian international, reports Di Marzio, after the former FC Basel man has endured a season of frustration so far that he has mostly spent sitting on the Stamford Bridge bench.

Salah joined the Blues for around £12 million from Swiss champions FC Basel in January, having caught Mourinho’s eye with two stunning performances against Chelsea in last season’s Champions League, but he has found himself very much on the periphery at Stamford Bridge ever since moving to West London.

There have been growing suggestions that Salah is becoming disenfranchised at Chelsea due to the lack of first team action being afforded to him by Mourinho, with Salah very much fifth in line for one of the three attacking midfield slots available in the Chelsea system.

Serie A giants Inter Milan appear keen to bring Salah to Serie A, but they are unlikely to be able to come close to the £12m that Chelsea paid to Basel if they were to seek a permanent deal, with these reports suggesting that Roberto Mancini and the Nerazzurri will offer to take Salah on an 18 month loan deal instead.
