The Gunners are known to be on the lookout for new signings in that part of the pitch this winter after some unconvincing performances from the likes of Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Flamini and Jack Wilshere this season.
Although it remains to be seen how much Arsenal will spend this January, it looks likely that they could bring in at least one of these two big-name midfield players from Portugal.

A name linked with Arsenal many times in the last few months, Sporting Lisbonn starlet William Carvalho seems a likely candidate to come into the Emirates Stadium this season, having impressed with his displays in the Portuguese top flight to establish himself as one of Europe’s top young talents.
