Reds to ditch goal-shy Italian for exciting new partnership.
Liverpool are plotting some smart changes upfront in the transfer market as they look to offload Mario Balotelli and replace him with two new forward players worth £45m, according to recent reports.
The Reds lost Luis Suarez to Barcelona over the summer and have since struggled for goals due to the disappointing form of summer signings Balotelli and Rickie Lambert.
Having signed for £16m from AC Milan, Balotelli has been the biggest disappointment this season, failing to score a single Premier League goal and recently losing his place in Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Sampdoria are now said to be interested in the struggling 24-year-old, while Liverpool have set their sights on two replacement signings in what could be an exciting new strike pair upfront for the Merseyside giants in the near future.
