The Colombian international, 26, was in superb form last season and attracted plenty of interest from a number of Europe’s top clubs, and is now believed to be one of the Blues’ main targets for this month.

With doubt surrounding the future of both Mohamed Salah and Andre Schurrle, it makes sense that Jose Mourinho would target a move for Cuadrado to replace the current duo on the right-hand side of Chelsea’s attack.

Cuadrado supposedly has a £26.8m release clause with the Italian club, and the Blues will have to match that price if they are to succeed in bringing the talented South American to England this winter.

Chelsea currently sit top of the Premier League and made some superb signings during the summer transfer window, with new-boys Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas proving key players in their improved performances this term.

The West Londoners finished third last season but now look favourites to finish as champions after going five points clear of Manchester City.
