Agent to the stars confirms top stopper could head back to Spain.
Super agent Jorge Mendes has set the speculation of the future of Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea into overdrive by admitting that the player could leave Manchester United for Real Madrid this month, according to the Daily Express.
Mendes, who also represents megastars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Jose Mourinho and Angel Di Maria said in an interview with the Spanish press that “things change every five minutes,” with regard to the goalkeeper’s future.
“David is amazing, he’s brilliant.
“He’s a Man United player and has a contract there. You have to respect that but things change every five minutes.”
Sources in Spain had claimed that de Gea had agreed terms with Real on Thursday, though confirmation of the move has yet to surface.
With Victor Valdes’ recent arrival at Old Trafford, it is believed that he could be on his way back to his homeland, though Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti would have to fork out a reported £50m for the privilege.
