The Croatian playmaker had been linked with a move to the Gunners.

Arsenal appear to have missed out on the signing of Croatian international playmaker Marcelo Brozovic from Dinamo Zagreb, report Goal, after the official Inter Milan twitter account confirmed that he had arrived in Milan ahead of signing for Roberto Mancini’s Serie A side.

Brozovic, the latest in a long line of young and impressive midfield playmakers to emerge from Croatia’s biggest club, has been linked with an Emirates Stadium move since the summer as a solution to Arsene Wenger’s midfield troubles, but it is Inter who have pounced to secure the signing of the 24 year-old.

It continues a busy transfer window for Mancini since his return to the club where he won back-to-back Serie A titles, with Brozovic following loanees Xherdan Shaqiri and Lukas Podolski into the door and the San Siro squad, the latter having come from Arsenal.

Whether the Gunners will now move for a central midfield talent of their own remains to be seen, with the impressive performances of Francis Coquelin in recent weeks making the move less urgent.
