BREAKING: England international to stay at Villa Park.
Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph has committed his future to the club by agreeing a new four-and-a-half-year contract, it has been confirmed.
The 25-year-old’s future had been under some serious doubt in recent months, with his previous deal all set to expire at the end of this current season, which would’ve left him free to walk away from the club on a Bosman.
Liverpool had been mentioned as possible suitors for the unsettled England international, but it now looks as though he will be staying put for the forseeable future after this latest news.

Villa announced Delph’s new deal ten minutes before kickoff today at their home game against AFC Bournemouth in the FA Cup, telling fans in advance that they had a special announcement ready that afternoon.
This will certainly be welcome news for the club’s supporters after a difficult season, and they will hope Delph and others can now fight to improve results for Paul Lambert’s side in the second half of the campaign.
