Avram Grant led Chelsea to a huge win over Manchester City
Jose Mourinho had made a controversial exit from Chelsea in the previous month, yet the 6-0 thrashing over City showed that the Blues could bounce back.
Frank Lampard provided two excellent assists for the first two goals with Michael Essien, Didier Drogba, Joe Cole, Salomon Kalou and Andriy Shevchenko all getting on the score-sheet.
Both Sven-Goran Eriksson, City manager, and Avram Grant, Chelsea boss, left their positions at the end of the campaign.
