With Arsene Wenger a domiant figure at the Emirates and a highly respect Frenchman, the legendary boss has always attracted the best French talent to north London.

Sissoko is no different and the former Toulouse midfielder was quoted as saying on Goal.com: “”Arsenal made me dream when I was a youngster. Patrick Vieira was my idol. I saw myself in him.”

With the emergence of Francis Coquelin, Arsenal’s needs in the centre of midfield are less urgent, which means that any move for Sissoko may have to wait until the summer.
