Midfielder expected to break transfer record this summer.
Chelsea and Manchester United could have to break the world transfer record if they want to sign Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
The French international, 21, is highly regarded as perhaps the best young player in the world, and is already up there with the finest midfielders in Europe.
Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola expects his client to move for a fee in excess of £80m, tipping him to make it at a truly top club, with Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid among those targeting him.
“If there is one Mona Lisa in the world, and she is for sale, it will be a record price,” Raiola said.
“Not a single player at the age of 21 has shown the world what he can do: lead a team in the palm of his hand. Pogba, he has done it already. His future? He could join any team.
“If the right time comes this summer, then it will happen.
“If it is not the right time, he could stay for another year or two. He will beat the transfer record.”
