Ronaldinho’s Queretaro side travelled to surprise pace setters Veracruz in the Liga MX on Friday night.
The game itself was not particularly noteworthy, ending in a 1-1 draw thanks to two goals in the final five minutes.

What was noteworthy was a tweet sent by Ronaldinho in the aftermath of the game.
Although the Brazilian superstar plays for Queretaro, he receives adulation virtually everywhere he goes in Mexico. Veracruz fans were particularly keen to show their love, writing “I love you Ronaldinho” in the sand outside the player’s hotel!
Ronaldinho continues to struggle on the pitch. On Friday he touched the ball just 40 times, the sixth most on the team, and did not enter his own half once.
