The Europa League represents Everton’s best chance of Champions League football.
Everton boss Roberto Martinez has revealed that his team will be ready for the Young Boys’ astro turf surface, but admitted that the conditions would still favour the home side, according Liverpool Echo’s Greg O’Keeffe,
RM on astro turf: “It’s a completely different surface. Bounce of ball is diffiferent. Different technical aspect. Home team uses to it”#EFC

Speaking to the media ahead of the tie in Switzerland, the Spaniard stated that the turf meant the ball will move in different trajectories, but his players will be ready.
Despite a poor first half of the season judging by the standards Everton set last year, some of their best performances have been in the Europa League.
Should they progress from this round, the prospect of having a European Merseyside derby might just become a reality.
