Former Tottenham Coach Says Harry Kane Will Decide Result Of Capital One Cup Final v Chelsea

Spurs last won the League Cup in 2008, beating Chelsea in the final.

Former Tottenham Hotspur coach Clive Allen has predicted that in-form star Harry Kane can be the difference once again in the Capital One Cup final against Chelsea on Sunday.

Kane was instrumental in Spurs’ 5-3 victory over the Blues last month, scoring two goals and running the likes of Gary Cahill and John Terry ragged.

Allen left Spurs following the departure of Harry Redknapp, and has claimed that he was aware of Kane’s talents and more importantly, his determination.

The first competition of the season is up for grabs and Allen believes the 21-year-old will have a major say in the outcome.

“Obviously he will have great confidence going into the game,” he was quoted by the Daily Mail.

“It was an outstanding performance, not only from Harry but from the whole team – it was a big game and probably the first time that Spurs have dismantled Chelsea in the way that they did.

“They will have confidence going in on the back of that.”

Having scored 24 goals in all competitions, Spurs fans will be hoping that their may man can land another milestone and give them a repeat of the 2008 final.
