LM- Eden Hazard
If the Belgian wins the Player of the Year crown at the end of this campaign, you will find very few people willing to argue with the decision. Hazard has been unstoppable for Chelsea this season, and has contributed nine goals, as he finally truly delivers on the potential which he promised when he first came to England.
ST- Diego Costa
Few strikers have managed to adapt to English football as quickly as Diego Costa. The former Atletico Madrid frontman has seventeen goals already in the league this season. His temperament may however be pivotal to whether Chelsea clinch the title, as the Blues look thin of striking options when he is banned.
ST- Sergio Aguero
The Argentine also boasts seventeen goals this season. His presence in the City side was obvious, as they went through a slump – by their standards – when he wasn’t available. Like Chelsea with Costa, City look a different, more timid side, in front of goal when Aguero’s unavailable. His impact, and loss of it while he is absent, prompted City to spend £27m on Wilfried Bony, which perhaps highlights Aguero’s value to the team.
