Louis van Gaal is thought to be interested in signing the Stamford Bridge failure…
Wolfsburg playmaker Kevin De Bruyne has revealed that he is open to a return to the Premier League, reports the Daily Express.
The Belgian only joined the Bundesliga side a year ago last January, after failing to break in to the first team at Chelsea. He has since impressed in Germany, scoring 11 goals and grabbing 16 assists so far this season.
This has alerted Manchester United, who are looking likely to yet again spend big in the next transfer window. Manager Louis van Gaal has made it clear that his number one target is a creative midfielder, and the 23-year-old could fit the bill.
The Red Devils could have to pay £30 million for the player, who is still open to signing a new contract at Wolfsburg. Despite this, he is still keen on a move at some point in the future.
De Bruyne said: “I feel very much at home with VfL Wolfsburg in this very moment. I am able to sign a new contract with Wolfsburg. Life in football can be fast moving.Football is much about money. Wolfsburg is not yet like Bayern Munich, of course.”
He added: “And my biggest ambition is to come out for a big European club. One I can win trophies with. As much trophies as possible.”
