A cheeky dig from the Magpies legend…
Premier League legend and Match of the Day pundit Alan Shearer had a hilarious dig at former Newcastle United boss Ruud Gullit on the BBC show.
Shearer said, “When I was going through a bit of a tough time, some managers didn’t really believe in me…”, to which the all time Premier League top scorer looked over to the Dutchman!
Gullit famously dropped the striker before the Toons’ huge Tyne-Wear derby defeat to Sunderland in 1999, with the move described as a ‘suicide note‘, costing him his job the next day.
