The Scotsman’s team was revealed well ahead of the game last Sunday, which Valencia won 2-0. Speaking on Friday, Moyes, who was quoted by the Daily Mail, said: “For some reason our team is in the newspapers [on the day of the game].

“I don’t get the opposition team. I didn’t get Valencia’s team but the opposition get my team. I don’t think that’s right. It doesn’t seem correct to me that our rivals find about our team selection because of leaks.”

Sociedad currently sit twelfth in the La Liga table with 27 points, although they are only three clear of the relegation zone in a congested bottom-half of the table. In contrast, Valencia are fourth and on track for a return to Champions League football next season.
