Pundit eyes return to the game as a manager.
Former Manchester United star and current BT Sport pundit Paul Scholes has revealed that he has plans on making a return to the game as a manager…but not just yet, according to the Metro.
The ex-England international recently turned down the opportunity to take over the reigns at League One side Oldham Athletic upon Lee Johnson’s exit, choosing to stay working as a pundit instead.
And though he rejected the opportunity to make a comeback, he has insisted that he will take a job when the time is right.
“I will be a manager one day,’ he said. “I have come to see that over the last eight months, although I know that I first said that I did not see any future in coaching.
“And one day I believe that I will manage Oldham, the club that my dad supports and who are very close to my heart. They are a really good family club who mean a great deal to a lot of people – myself included.
“I just did not feel this was the right time. When I go into management, I want to do so with 100 per cent commitment.”
