AC Milan take on lowly Hellas Verona in what could prove to be a decisive game for the future of AC Milan legend turned manager Filippo Inzaghi.
It has been a desperately disappointing campaign for the Rossoneri, with the club languishing in 10th place with nearly three quarters of the season gone. If Milan fail to beat Verona in the late kick off on Saturday, Filippo Inzaghi’s head will roll, according to Goal.
Milan’s desperate form is not helped by their large injury list – key players Nigel de Jong, Riccardo Montilivo, and Stephane El Shaawary are just a few of the nine first team players currently out.
Verona on the other hand will be encouraged by their home draw with Roma and away win at Cagliari in their previous two fixtures.
The relationship between Inzaghi and club president Silvio Berlusconi has allegedly become strained, only serving to increase speculation. Berlusconi has been absent from the San Siro recently, and is thought to have totally lost faith in his manager.
