Could Arsene Wenger be interested in signing another young talent at the Emirates?
AC Milan star Stephan El Shaarawy has welcomed talk linking him to a move to Arsenal, reports tuttomercatoweb.
The winger has been ruled out for the last five weeks with a broken metatarsal, but should be fully fit again soon. While he has been out of the team the Rossoneri have been finding it hard to get out of mid-table in Serie A and are badly underperforming under manager Pippo Inzaghi. The 22-year-old wasn’t helping much before his injury with just one goal in 15 league appearances.
However, this has not put Arsene Wenger off the Italy international and the player seems pretty receptive to a move to the FA Cup champions. He would be up against Alexis Sanchez to play in his favoured position on the wing, which brings up whether the Gunners actually need him.
El Shaarawy said: “I am gratified by Arsenal’s interest, certainly, but my objective is to come back for Milan and do well at Milan.”
