GK – Manuel Neuer – Bayern Munich

The German’s nomination for the Ballon d’Or in January, alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, proves the Bundesliga outfit have arguably the best goalkeeper in the world.

RB – Guilherme Siqueira – Atletico Madrid

The 28-year-old has kept the likes of the world-class Gareth Bale without a sniff at goal in Atletico’s recent 4-0 rout over the Spanish giants in La Liga. Also, a threat going forward, playing the modern full-back role excellently.

RCB – Mats Hummels – Borussia Dortmund

The Dortmund captain has seen his side staring relegation from the Bundesliga in the face for much of the season, yet his strong performances over the past few campaigns, particularly for Germany, has seen the centre-back described as the ‘complete‘ defender.

LCB – John Terry – Chelsea

Amazingly, the Blues skipper continues to improve with age, and his reading of the game in defence makes him one of the world’s very best in the position.

LB – Alex Sandro – Porto

The Brazilian was excellent in their last 16 victory over FC Basel, showing his versatility in having to switch flanks in the second-leg.
