Franco-Congolese midfielder Giannelli Imbula has never been one to shirk a tackle or two. The dynamic midfielder was in fine form against Lyon at the Stade Velodrome on Sunday evening, but will now be absent for OM’s crunch match with bitter rivals PSG.

Imbula was booked during the contest’s late denouement, receiving a yellow card for a foul on Lyon centre-back Lindsay Rose on 88 minutes.

Things also don’t look good for Jeremy Morel. The versatile defender, who has emerged as a key figure for OM during the absence of Nicolas Nkoulou, received a straight red late on for an aggressive tackle on Maxime Gonalons.

A disciplinary committee will meet on Thursday to decide his fate, according to L’Equipe, and may decide to hand him at least a two-match suspension.
