The Stephanois will travel to the Stade Louis II to kick off week 31 in the French top flight.

As if the prospect of facing in-form Champions League quarter-finalists Monaco wasn’t daunting enough, Saint-Etienne have to travel to the south coast without two of their key men.

Defender Bayal Sall has had an injury-plagued 2015 so far. He featured once in January, against Stade Rennais, before completing another 90 minutes a month later with the visit of Olympique de Marseille.

He hasn’t played since March 3 when he was present as ASSE advanced past Boulogne in the French Cup.

The Senegal international continues to suffer with an adductor injury.

“He is healing, but he won’t be returning any time soon,” said coach Christophe Galtier, as reported by L’Equipe.

Winger Hamouma has been similarly unfortunate.

The former Caen man spent a spell on the sidelines earlier in the season, and his return was soon curtailed when he picked up another injury against LOSC Lille at the end of March.

He is still struggling with his calf and won’t be available for the trip to Monaco.
