Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has agreed to join Real Madrid next season according to claims made by Spanish journalist Josep Pedrerol.
The Red Devils shot-stopper has had a superb season in the Premier League and wants the move to the Bernabeu to replace Iker Casillas as number one next term, sources in Spain are now saying.
This will no doubt come as a big blow for United, who have seen big improvement in results of late under Louis van Gaal, with an exciting new-look team emerging at Old Trafford and de Gea very much a part of it.
The Spanish international has been one of the club’s best players this season, but that just looks to have pushed him closer to a move to last season’s European champions, according to the Daily Mirror.
Real look in need of a long-term replacement for Casillas, who has been past his best for some time now, with de Gea seemingly the man chosen to fill his gloves.
