Angel Di Maria has told manager Louis van Gaal that he is planning on staying at Manchester United for the foreseeable future, reports the Daily Express.
The Argentine’s future at Old Trafford has been in doubt after his then home was broken in to back in February, reported the Daily Mirror at the time. He has since been living in a rented apartment in the city. Added to this situation has been the fact that the winger has been struggling to get in to the starting XI recently.
However, despite this the 26-year-old is still keen to stay with the Red Devils. This will be a major boost to United, who spent a record £59.7 million to bring the midfielder to the Premier League in the summer.
This may disappoint Ligue 1 champions PSG, who had been interested in signing Di Maria when Louis van Gaal got his man last time round. They had been reported to be interested again according to the article, but look likely to be let down in their chase.
