Charlton are open to bids for Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, and Chelsea target Joe Gomez, reports the Daily Mail.
The 17-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough season at the Valley, playing 20 times in the Championship. He is versatile, being able to play at centre-back and right-back. The teenager has also already played for the England Under 19’s side, despite his young age.
Gomez was apparently unsure about leaving the Addicks until recently, but is now more open to the idea. Manchester City are thought to be front runners for his signature by the Mail, and it is also possible that he will be immediately loaned back to Charlton. The youngster doesn’t want to end up in the reserves of a bigger side.
If any of the quartet want to sign the defender then it is thought that the Championship side’s owner Roland Duchatelet will want at least £8 million for the player. This is quite pricey for a footballer who is unproven at the highest level.
