Manchester United have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Alexandre Lacazette after reports claim that Olympique Lyonnais will accept an offer of £22m for their prized asset.
Premier League champions Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are also interested – but United are leading the chase.
According to Sports Mole, Lyon owner Jean-Michel Aulas has given the Red Devils the green light to buy the France international in the summer – telling Louis van Gaal that the forward is all yours for £22m.
With Radamel Falcao’s loan spell not likely to be made permanent at the end of the current campaign, a striker, the report states, is Louis van Gaal’s priority in the summer transfer window.
The Dutchman is expected to again spend big in his second summer in charge, and sent a huge message of intent in confirming a deal for Memphis Depay had been agreed before the opening of the summer transfer window – announced on the club’s official Twitter account.
