Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool have been put on red alert, with reports suggesting that Real Madrid could sell striker Karim Benzema this summer, as they step up their interest in Juventus striker Alvaro Morata.

Morata, who only joined the Italian champions from Madrid last summer, scored twice against his former club this month to seal a 3-2 aggregate win in his side’s Champions League semi-final.

In contrast, Benzema has been struggling for form since the turn of the year, scoring just three goals in his last nine games. A failure to produce against Juventus earlier this week could be the final straw for the notoriously hard-to-please Madrid hierarchy, who are now willing to sell.

According to the Daily Star, our afore mentioned Premier League trio have all expressed an interest in the player in the past and could now step up their interest ahead of the summer transfer window.

All three clubs are crying out for a natural goalscoring and Benzema would certainly fall into that category. The 27-year-old French international has scored 133 goals in 280 games during his time in the Spanish capital, including 22 so far this campaign.
