Jose Mourinho is resigned to losing Cech in the summer with the Czech Republic man understandably not keen on remaining at the club to sit on the bench for another campaign, with Thibaut Courtois now Chelsea’s first choice starter.

With that in mind Mourinho has set his sights on Potters star Begovic, who is said to be available for a fee or around £10.5m, with the Bosnian having just over a year to run on his current contract.

Begovic is widely considered to be one of the most consistent custodians in the Premier League and one wonders if the Stoke City man is ready to play second fiddle at Chelsea having been a virtual ever present at the Britannia Stadium in recent seasons.
