According to the newspaper Estadao Hulk said he would never make up an injury, as some critics had suggested in his home country, and he hopes to soon be part of Dunga’s plans.

Hulk has not been called up by Dunga since September last year, when Brazil played two friendlies against Colombia and Ecuador. The striker said at the time he had a thigh injury but only a few days later he played 90 minutes with his Russian club. The striker praised the work of the physician from Zenit and said that thanks to him he was able to recover in such a short time.

The Brazilian, who played regularly in the last World Cup, is currently the top scorer in the Russian league with 15 goals in 28 games .
