Denis wants to go back to his home country and according to the Argentine site Ole.

He is ready to leave this summer and hopes to have a similar experience to the one Milito had with Racing – Milito went back to Argentina in 2014 after playing in Europe for over 10 years, and was a key player as Racing Club won the league title.

“If I am contacted by Independiente, I will speak to Atalanta to review my situation. I have a contract for two more years and I am the captain of the team, but I also have the desire to go back”, said the player.

Denis played with Independiente from 2006 to 2008 and in his last season he scored 27 goals in 36 games.

After his performances with Independiente he was called up to play with the national team and then left to Europe where he has been playing since. He joined Napoli in 2008, Udinese in 2010, and has been playing for Atalanta since 2011.
