The 24-year-old was recently linked with a shock £50m move to the Nou Camp, despite not having had the best of seasons in an Arsenal shirt due to several niggling injury problems.

Still, Ramsey’s exceptional form in 2013/14 saw him become regarded as one of the best players in the Premier League, and Coleman has no doubt that he would be good enough to star for the Catalan giants.

With legendary playmaker Xavi leaving the club this summer, it could be that there is some room for Barca to bring in another creative midfield player, and Ramsey would certainly fit the bill after becoming a key figure in Arsene Wenger’s side.

Although it remains to be seen if the Welshman will be on the move, Coleman has backed his player to be good enough to make it work, according to The Sun.

“You can’t do much better than Arsenal,” he said.

“But if he is linked with Barcelona — then who will not want to see that? I’m not that surprised at the link. Is he good enough to play for them? Of course he is.”
