The 29 year old has spent half of the current campaign at Inter Milan but the Serie A side have opted against making the temporary deal a permanent one, which is perhaps unsurprising given his tally of just one goal in 14 domestic league appearances.
The German international doesn’t appear to have a future at the Emirates Stadium and will undergo a medical in Istanbul next week ahead of a move to Galatasaray.
Arsenal paid Koln £11m for Podolski back in July 2011 and it’s fair to say the World Cup winner hasn’t delivered on a consistent enough basis during his time at the north London side.
Podolski has racked up 19 goals in 60 Premier League appearances.
