The Colombian international impressed during his time with La Viola, becoming regarded as one of the finest attacking midfielders in Europe, though he has struggled to replicate that at Stamford Bridge.
Despite costing around £23m to sign this winter, Cuadrado has barely played for Jose Mourinho’s side, finding himself behind Brazilian grafter Willian in the pecking order.
Inter will now hope to capitalise on the 27-year-old’s uncertain situation in London and offer him a quick return to Italy, though it remains to be seen if Chelsea would consider letting him go so soon after bringing him in.
It may be that Mourinho will involve the player in his plans more next season, but according to the Daily Mirror, Inter are ready to test their resolve to keep him this summer.
