Chelsea 2014/15 player ratings: New signing gets 9/10 along with Eden Hazard & John Terry

Posted by

Juan Cuadrado – Signed from Fiorentina in January, the Colombian winger was an exciting addition but ended up playing precious few minutes and as such looking a little below par. Should be a good player for next season. 5.5/10.

Eden Hazard – One of the best players in the world, Eden Hazard had another excellent season for Chelsea and won the PFA Player of the Year for his efforts. 9/10.

Diego Costa – An awesome signing from Atletico Madrid, Diego Costa settled instantly in England and scored 21 goals to fire Chelsea to the double. 9/10.

Loic Remy – A good backup striker, the Frenchman contributed nine goals to the team’s cause after joining from Queens Park Rangers. 7/10.

Didier Drogba – Well past his best, Didier Drogba’s role off the pitch was perhaps more useful in terms of guiding the Blues to the title. 6/10.

Jose Mourinho – Finally, the manager – for all the criticism of his approach to handling the media and his relationship with other managers, there’s no doubt that whatever he’s doing has worked. The Portuguese coach has an excellent record of delivering trophies and will only be disappointed not to have gone further in the FA Cup and Champions League as his side strolled to the title. 8.5/10.
