The France international has been linked to Old Trafford as a replacement for the 24-year-old, who could be on his way to Real Madrid. However, understandably the Spurs ‘keeper doesn’t want to make any decisions until the situation is clear. It would be embarrassing if the goalie tried to push for a move now only for United to end up keeping their current number one.

Lloris managed eight clean sheets last season, which is impressive considering the defence that was in front of the Frenchman. However, one drawback in a move by the Red Devils for Lloris would be that he is four years older than De Gea, and as such is less likely to improve.
