According to MMDeportes, Tigres will make their final effort to sign the French striker today. The Tigres management are now in Cancun at the Liga MX Draft, but they have met the player’s agent there and have already agreed the player’s contract.

It is reported that Tigres, the richest club in Mexico, have met all Gignac’s requests, and it is now up to the player to accept a move to Mexico.

In case Gignac doesn’t accept the offer that is currently on the table, Tigres already have already ‘Plan B’ – Villarreal striker Uche. The Nigerian striker’s departure from Villarreal is imminent – he wasn’t part of the Spanish club’s Australian tour  and instead travelled to Monterrey to start conversations with the Tigres management.
