Chelsea star John Obi Mikel and Manchester United ace Nani are being targeted by Fenerbahce in a double swoop, according to Turkish Football.
Both could be surplus to requirements at their clubs next season. Nani was out on loan at Sporting Lisbon last season, and despite scoring four goals in five Champions League games for the Primeira Liga side it would see that manager Louis van Gaal isn’t keen on keeping the winger. The Red Devils have already been linked to Benfica attacking midfielder Nicolas Gaitan by gianlucadimarzio.com, and he could push Nani even further down the pecking order.
This is even with the 28-year-old scoring goals like this last season.
Meanwhile Obi Mikel actually played 26 times for the Blues last time round, but could find himself unwanted this summer. The Nigeria international is already behind both Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic to play in central midfield, and is competing with Ramires for that position. The emergence of Ruben Loftus-Cheek as well as their links with moves for players such as Alex Song in the Metro could put the 28-year-old further out of favour.
Fenerbahce sporting director Giuliano Terraneo is apparently in London to speak with the agents of both players ahead of possible transfer offers.
