Real Madrid are likely to land Man United star David De Gea and this will seemingly trigger a succession of moves with Louis van Gaal then turning to White Hart Lane goalkeeper Lloris.

Whilst Casillas may not wish to stick around at Real should Rafa Benitez sign De Gea, it’s hard to imagine the World Cup winner would entertain the notion of a move to join Spurs.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side do not have Champions League football to offer Casillas and no doubt a host of sides would take a keen interest in such a decorated performer.

Casillas has looked a shadow of his usual self over the past 18 months and a move away from the Spanish giants looks entirely possible.
