Manchester United transfer rumours

Manchester United are set to come back with a second bid to sign Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos in an ambitious move this summer, it has emerged.

The Red Devils urgently want to bring in better players at the back this year, with Louis van Gaal’s side often struggling defensively during the 2014/15 season.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Ramos is looking like their main target in that department, and the club will try their luck with a £35.5m offer after an opening bid of £28m was rejected.

The Spanish international is one of his country’s all-time greats, having won two European Championships and the World Cup for La Roja, as well as multiple La Liga titles and the Champions League with Madrid.
