Manchester United look to have made a major breakthrough in their pursuit of Real Madrid star Sergio Ramos this summer with the club likely to accept a bid of £49.6m.

The Red Devils are keen to land the world class Spanish international, who wants out of the Bernabeu this summer after a contract dispute with the club.

Supposedly, a deal could now be moving closer as United are tipped to succeed with an improved bid for the 29-year-old as Real prepare to bring in his replacement, according to the Metro.

The player Real want is Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi, and Los Blancos have already made contact with the German stopper’s agent over a possible move.
