Louis van Gaal is keen to fill the ‘problem area’ he has at right-back and having previously been linked with both Barcelona’s Dani Alves and Southampton defender Nathaniel Clyne the Old Trafford side are now keen on £20m rated Republic of Ireland international Coleman.

26 year old Goodison Park star Coleman may well feel that the time is right for a fresh challenge and the former Sligo Rovers man has certainly more than proven himself capable of making an impact at the highest level.

Coleman has spent six seasons at Everton and saw Roberto Martinez’s side move backwards last season and one wonders if chairman Bill Kenwright would be able to ignore a big money offer for a player that cost the Merseyside outfit just £60k.
